Hello my lovely readers!
How was your weekend? I hope you had some time to relax.
Today’s post is for all the cat lovers!
Let me introduce you to the pets in A Sweet Disruption.
There are only two, but they are fluffy and cute and very well loved by the characters in the novel.
Meet Louis and Rufus!
Louis
Louis is Sicilia and Tia’s cat. He’s an old man who loves to sleep (as any cat does) and who always follows his human house mates around, in hopes for a few snacks.
Louis was a stray at first and Sicilia met him in front of Baked Novels when she started working there. She fed him every morning and the old charmer wrapped her around his cute fluffy paw with his meows and big cat eyes. She decided to adopt him and now he’s living his best cat life with Sicilia and her daughter Tia in an apartment above the book café. Sometimes, he comes downstairs to greet a few customers, snuggle up to them for a treat or two, or lounge in the big reading chairs.
He’s the unofiicial mascot of Baked Novels and everyone who comes by loves him.
Louis doesn’t get a lot of appearances in the novel and I feel like I should write a bonus story just for him!
Rufus
Rufus is a ginger cat and the star of the show! His own mostly.
He’s Arthurs cat and has quite a few scenes during the whole novel.
Especially Nickolas, Arthur’s younger brother, loves him to death and calls him Rufie. He’s always saying that he’s Rufu’s favorite uncle and is secretly afraid that Liana will steal his postion.
Arthur got him as a kitten from a pet shelter and Rufus helped him a lot during his difficult times. He’s one of his best mates and the two of them fit together like a puzzle piece. Talk about finding a soulmate in a fluffy animal.
He’s three years old and in his cat teenager phase. He loves to play and sometimes zooms through Arthur’s apartment, just because. His favorite treat are the oats from Arthur’s chocolate granola, not that he actually gets them on purpose, but he manages to snack some with his sharp wits every now and then, which is why Arthur always has an eye on him at breakfast.
I would love to know if you have any pets! Tell me in the comments below and if you have a picture, I would love to see it.^^
Thank you for reading today’s post, I hope you liked it!
→ P.S.: If you still want a chance to be a beta reader for A Sweet Disruption, I am still looking for 1-2 more responsible readers, so if you’Re interested, leave a comment under this post and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.
(I will soon have a few announcements for some more exciting things to make, so keep your eyes out for it^^)
See you in the next post.
Love,
-Nika.^^
